Marking/selecting a song on the recently played section plays the song after the selected one.

Expected behavior

In the recently played section, long pressing on a song and marking selected songs is supposed to only mark the selected songs.

Actual behavior

Long pressing the first song marks it, but selecting the song after it plays the next song after the selected one and continues. The video will explain better.

How to reproduce

  1. Download Music X - Music Player;
  2. Launch the application;
  3. Play some songs with the music player;
  4. Go to the library and on the "Recently Played", click on more;
  5. Long press the first song (it will mark the first song correctly without playing the selected song). Select the next song afterwards and the next song after that. You will notice that the application plays the song after the selected one. Which is unintended. The video will explain better.

As seen in your image the user still has the ability to click on the song and play it, it's because of this the functionality of the application isn't compromised. Although this is a strange experience, this is a cosmetic issue and as per the Utopian Rules:

Cosmetic issues, that do not affect the functionality of the software, will not be accepted.

@tobias-g from your reply, it seems you don't understand the bug i reported, and its also clear to me that you didn't watch the video.

Also it's not a cosmetic issue, is a technical issue. It all boils down to you not watching the video and just judging from the image you saw. I'll advise you watch the video first.

I hope to get your feedback afterwards.

Got you, apologies I did watch the video multiple times actually but did miss something you're correct. I can now see that within the video the following song plays and not the one you click. I got a different behavior with your steps, therefore, I cannot replicate. Thanks for pointing this out and I will get the decline removed so another moderator can review.

Thank you for this. I will also like the next moderator to consider looking at previous response to a similar report below:

i don't think that the developer intended for the application to behave that way, because the "Songs" section of the music player works perfectly fine. Such behavior is only peculiar to "recently played" section. The "recently added" section has a different unintended behavior, which i have also reported.

Here is a video of how the "Songs" section behave, and you will get to see why i saw this as a bug and reported it.

But if you strongly opine that it doesn't go well as a bug, i can make it a well explained suggestion. But, please ensure you watch this video and compare the behavior of both sections. Thank you.
