The Sabil War that broke out in the Land of Aceh due to the invasion of the Kingdom of the Netherlands against the Kingdom of Aceh Darussalam on March 26, 1873, has spawned thousands of Heroes of the Nation, both men and women, such as Teungku Chik Muhammad Saman Tiro, Teuku Umar Johan Hero, Teuku Panglima Polem Banta Muda, Teuku Nyak Graveyard, Teuku Imeum Luengbata, Teungku Fakinah, Teungku Fatimah, Cut Nyak Dhien, Cut Meutia, Pocut Baren, Pocut Meurah Intan. One of the thousands of Sabil War Heroes who were still alive until the time of the Indonsia Merdeka and received the Honorary Character and Service Star Award from the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Soekarno, is Panglima Abdul Wahab who is more famous for the call of Pang Hab.

Organization lasykar Kingdom of Aceh Darussalam, among others as follows:

The smallest unit called Sabbath (Platoon); his commanding officer Ulee Sabbath;
Unity above the Sabbath was named Comrade (Company); his commander Ulee Kawan;
Unity above Comrade named Balang (Battalion); his commander was named Ulee Balang;
Unity above the Balang named Sukee (Regiment); his commanding officer Ulee Sukee;
Unity above Sukee named Sagoe (Division); his commanding commander Sagoe;
Ulee Balang and Ulee Sukee, called the days of Pang, stands for Commander;

When the Kingdom of the Kingdom declared war on the Kingdom of Aceh Darussalam, In Aceh Rayek (Aceh Besar) there are three kaom / sagoe (Division), namely Sagou XXVI; Sagou XXV Mukim and Sagou XXII Mukim; in addition to a Sukee Ureung Inong (Women's Special Regiment), whose commander was a woman whose husband had been martyred in an early battle at Pante Cermen; his name is Teungku Fakinah.

Pang Hab yang kita bicarakan dalam karangan ini, ialah salah seorang dari para Ulee Balang ( Komandan Batalion) ( divisi ) XX II mukim: yang panglima sagoe nya bergelar Panglima Polem Sri Muda Perkasa.

Pang Hab (Pang Wahab) bukan satu-satunya Ulee Balang dalam lingkungan
