As the fear campaign ramps up another notch in an attempt to increase Vaccination uptake the New York City suburb of Rockland County just banned children not vaccinated for measles from public places for 30 days.
Gov. Jay Inslee declared a state of emergency in Washington two months ago because of the disease. It would seem the whole World is going insane over a disease that once was deemed a mild childhood disease.

The Worlds number one Vaccine advocate and director of the Vaccine Education Center at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia said:
“The reason measles is coming back is that a critical number of parents have chosen not to vaccinate their children........If you get to a few thousand cases, you’ll start to see children die of measles again.’’
What Paul Offit fails to state is how he came to this conclusion, what science is that actually based on?
Putting this into perspective a little exactly how many cases of measles have been contracted in New York so far? At the last count, 120 and nationwide across the US there has been a total of 314 cases this year. Is this really a 'state of emergency'?
Does the MMR vaccine even prevent a Measles outbreak?

The implications of this cannot be understated, a non-vaccinated individual is aware of their own immunity towards measles based on whether they have already contracted the disease or not, however a fully vaccinated individual will generally assume he or she is immune to the virus and thus will not take the appropriate responsibilities to ensure they do not spread it to the very young, the very old and the immune deficient.
