Doesn't anyone else wonder how strange this valentine's day thing is?

This is probably the most celebrated festival incurring massive investments every year
and yet, we know not what we are doing really

Well, I shouldn't be surprised. We have no idea where it came from or who initiated it, how do I expect us to know how to go about it?

There is the popular story of Valentinus and the wedding ceremony, but this is as speculative and theoretical as the 7 other sources I read of today.

If this celebration of love thrives so much and never dies down from year to year, why is there still so much hate?

Ohhh......its private love, just love for your own person, not general love......mahn!

Once again selfishness wins, greed triumphs, even on "love" day

Man, how radiant it will be if we just took borders off on this day, just once in a year, and actually love every one that comes your way, just for this 1 day (even half a day will do).

What if you just handed out a little sweet, a smile, a hug, a geniune compliment, on just this one day
What if you wouldn't have to slefishly ask anyone to be your val because it's val day and we are vals to every living thing you come acoss that day.

I mean, think about it, 85% of the people being shown love today, are probably partners to the person showing the love ((husband wife BF GF sibling BFFf) which insinuates that they must have been shown love times and over before this day, so what exactly are we doing sir??

We have so many pointless expenditures in this life, we end up broke.......emotionally, spiritually, financially, medically, etc
