This is a vantour of our VW T3 'Herbert'! WastedLife!
In this vantour we show the ins and outs of our 3 day van conversion on a serious budget. It is a tiny home on wheels and we love it!
During our time in Europe we fully converted the Van and are living in it ever since. We have traveled so much in it that we decided, we should show you guys our tiny living space. We hope you enjoy it!

kleve hm?

Yeah : ) That is where Sophie is from

I see.
I admire your way of living.
Id be very interested in the "back-bone" side of such a life, please take the time to answer.
How did you sustain it?
Paying for Fuel, Insurance of yours, the car..
I could imagine this quite cost intensive.
Is it like: Work for some time and then enjoy a few month of vacation?

Now, as you are in NZ, you figure staying at a house / building one is nicer than wandering around in a motorhome?

In europe Mat worked and be both have savings so that went into buying van and paying for the fuel, insurance and cost of living.
In nz a campervan is very expensive and we have a car we can use to get around. So makes more sense for us to stay with friends and family while travelling around in our little swift. So we dont figure its nicer staying in a building its just more practical for us. Also couch surfing and meeting people helps a lot if you need a place to stay :)
