Ade! This was really cool. thanks for sharing. I will admit I don't know much about Notting Hill, although that movie Notting Hill with Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts is one of my favorite Romantic Comedies. lol Looks like this was an epic carnival for sure!

Yup, it's the same Notting Hill. It's one of the most affluent neighbourhoods in the country. For one weekend in the year, revellers descend on the neighbourhood and bring down the property value by messing everything up and urinating in their yards haha.
Some residents just take a vacation to avoid the carnival, but some hang about and join in the fun. Some even make some quick money by selling stuff and offering official toilets for a premium.

Yeah the vibe itself was mostly cool. Way too many people there though and there was a bit too much drinking this year compared to the past ones I'd been to. Lots of rowdy youth. Maybe I'm just getting old haha.
