I was asked by a person in our chat "What is your best recipe? And why?"
I couldn't say anything other than my Raw Vegan Sugar Free Red Velvet Cake! YUM!!
It's the best because there's nothing that isn't natural in it. Being raw the nutritional value is higher. It's got a much fresher taste. There is no flour so it doesn't sit heavy like a normal cake can.
I think the best thing to do is to check out a few photos and the recipe so you can see for yourself.
Since I made this the first time I've never looked back. Any time guests visit they are treated to a room temperature slice with a drizzle of maple syrup and a home made chai (I've shared the recipe for this on our website too).
Room temperature matters because this has coconut oil in it. This allows the oil to soften, and the cake takes on a whole different texture.
Making large batches of this cake is a great idea. You can easily portion it up and freeze it. As a raw cake it defrosts perfectly.
I also like to add #seamoss to this for the dual benefit of being a great Vegan binding agent, and a source of ling chain polysaccharides for good but health.
