Hey guys! This time I'd like to present you my by far most prefered grain - Quinoa

What-To-Avoid-When-Buying-Quinoa1.jpg

Quinoa has a majestic history among one of the most powerful civilizations on the American continent. It originated with the Incas in the mountains of Bolivia, Chile and Peru. It’s been at the forefront in these regions for 5,000 years. It was a staple for the Incas and is still a prominent food source for their indigenous descendants, the Quechua and Aymara people. It was a sacred crop to the Incas who called it the mother of all grains or chisaya mama.

With around 15 grams of proteins Quinoa is the excellent grain for muscle gain.

I like making Quinoa salats or eating it as a side dish.

Todays meal consists of oven backed vegetables, a chickpea-ruccola-salad and some quiona, refined with onion and cashews.

  1. Cut the vegetables and put them in the oven, sprinkle with some olive oil, and bake 20 min at low heat
  2. Mix the Ruccola and chickpeas, add some vinegar and spices (spice as u like) - (Try to avoid salt. I'll explain in another post)
  3. Wash the Quinoa, then cook it with the doubled amount water for 10-15 minutes (i like to add some vegetable stock for taste)

Pretting dang easy, I hope u enjoy! :)
