The best Vegan Cheese that I have tasted (it melts too!)

Guys, this year after having a great love affair with Cheese, my stomach decided it was time for a breakup. Reluctantly, I had no other option but to oblige. I had been battling with this decision for years and years and finally, after one Fettuccine Alfredo dinner, the decision was made for me. I had to stop eating dairy.

I know what the alternatives tasted like, because I went Vegan years ago and I knew the good the bad an the ugly when it came to Vegan "cheeses". One day I was doing groceries at a local market, I decided to give Chao Cheese a chance. I was familiar with the company "Field Roast" because during my vegetarian days, I had tasted many of their veggie meats.

When I went home and tried this I was pleasantly surprised. One that it melted, two that it did not taste like fake cheese and three that it was SO creamy. Many people ask me what Chao is when I praise the product. Chao tofu is a fermented soybean curd popular throughout Asia. Essentially it’s the traditional “cheese” of Asia. It can be purchased in Asian grocery stores in the North America and Europe, usually bottled and in a brine. It is often served with rice, is a common street food and usually deep fried.

Field Roast mastered this type of Vegan "cheese" and out of all the flavors my favorite one is the "Original". I like the other flavors but the original tastes the creamiest.

They cost about 5.99 for 7oz. I can say that it is totally worth the try. If you guys would want to know more about the product, here is a link:

Perfectly!

yeah it's a great cheese ! my favorite is Miyoko's:http://miyokoskitchen.com/products-miyoko/
It's not like Chao or Daiya but more like a gourmet cheese to eat on its own . have you tried it ?

I haven't I am really really looking for some good "cheese" . have you tried "treeline?"

no... will check it out , thanx !

Haven't tried this yet, in USA I'm not so impressed with the cheese so far. I did buy some daiya slices that melt really good for toasted sandwiches. But for pizza their shredded cheese just tastes too processed. In Europe the Germans and the Italians have great cheese in my opinion. Mozzarissela I think it's called in Italy, have amazing products especially their Mozzarella made from rice. They have a really big variety and I have to say they're all good. As for the Germans they too have great cheddar cheese and the typical German/Dutch style cheese. Whatever anyone prefers, Vegan cheese has advanced light years over the last 2! I know most people transitioning over to a vegan diet, miss cheese and now their is no reason to miss it as we've got it!!!

I can tell you I recently had Daiya, and my stomach did NOT enjoy it. It really really upset it, so I will have to keep looking for some alternatives. Thank you so much guys for these other options!
