Hello happy day, my dear community steemians and vegan, my name is Jennifer Brito, Industrial Engineer I currently reside in Quito Ecuador and I am happy to have found this community where I can share my way of life.

Being vegan, it is not easy, but when you do it with heart and conviction, then the path is satisfactory. In fact I enjoy the natural, relaxing environments and despite my young age I am happy, obviously there are many people who do not understand this, They judge you, criticize, but I am authentic.

It is true that there are people who dislike the taste (as well as there are people who dislike certain fruits and vegetables), but in general the tendency on our species is that we enjoy the taste that produces in our palate, and that the more lasting the habit around the food, the more difficult it is to eradicate.

Now, why would this matter when to feel that momentary pleasure the animals pay such a high cost? Well, to begin with it serves to understand why it costs so much for people to change their habits.

Some of the things that involve being a vegan

Social situations: Parties, work meetings, with relatives, with friends ... in all of them there is rarely a menu suitable for vegans. If you want to eat something more than peanuts with French fries (or air in the worst case) you have to take the tupper with food.
Eating is a main part of social gatherings and in each of them we will have to worry about seeing what we can eat or go with our tupper. Not only that, but also this does not give a good signal to others (I doubt that most really think "look responsible and what faultless behavior, brought their food" instead of "uh, I would die if I had to do that in each meeting ").

Leonardo Da Vinci wrote: "There will come a time when human beings will be content with a vegetable diet and the killing of an animal will be considered a crime, just like the murder of a human being."

I lead a healthy and happy life, my recommendation to people who want to be vegan is what they do progressively so as not to affect their health.
