Natural Vitamin C Supplement

in vegan •  7 years ago

Vitamin C increases your immunity and is required for many body functions. Most of all, it boosts the production of collagen, which fights wrinkles and fine lines. Ideally, we should be getting all the vitamins from our diet, but most of us don't. That's why we end of buying supplements. However, you do not need to buy vitamin C supplements as today I will tell you how to make your very own natural vitamin C supplement!

Every winter, instead of throwing away orange peels I dry them and grind them into a powder. I use the orange peel powder as a natural face scrub. I saw a post on Instagram which said that orange peel powder is an excellent vitamin C supplement. So this winter I will be making more jars of the orange peel powder, 1 for each family member!

Like I said, the process is pretty simple and straightforward. Just keep your orange peel in an open space, where they will get sunlight. Let them dry till they are crispy. This can take up to a week. After that, just grind the peels into a fine powder and store it an airtight jar! You can add the orange peel powder to your smoothies, consume it with water, or sprikle over your salad.
