This mushroom gravy is easy to make and can be made on a budget with inexpensive mushroom varieties. Try this recipe with mashed potatoes, yams, or cassava. Also good over tofu and tempeh. This recipe is easy, hearty, healthy and delicious. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
2 cups Mushrooms (any variety; shiitake, portabella, cremini, button)
1 cup Onions (white or yellow)
3 tbsp. Olive Oil
3 cups (may substitute mushroom stock, vegetable stock or water)
3 tbsp. Agar -Agar
3 tbsp. Bragg Liquid Amino
To Taste Salt and Pepper
Directions:
Sautee mushrooms and onions with olive oil until browned. Add reishi tea or mushroom stock and bring to simmer. Add agar-agar and continue to simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and finish with liquid amino and salt and pepper to taste….
