Greetings fellow Earth citizens :)
Day 104 of the challenge done. I said 105 in the video, but that was just my error on the days haha. Tomorrow will be 105 again, I'll have my own personal groundhog day.
And today is a good one to relive. We had an awesome day wandering around Cairo. Our morning was spent in Giza, trying to find a quad to take out into the desert, but unfortunately there were no two seaters available for a price we could afford. So we got all of our stuff packed and went to our second stop in Garden City. It is so beautiful here. Hopefully before too long I'll be able to make a video to share some of my favorite photos. We took a nice stroll along the Nile and the Nile Corniche, which is a little offshoot of the Nile that makes an island. There were so many cats and dogs wandering around, and one was very friendly. I'll post that video soon as well :) I also got kombucha! A raw, organic, locally produced kind. Man was it good, I haven't had any since I left the US and this was just as good as any I have had back home. Hopefully it'll help counteract some of the detrimental effects the tap water seems to be having. Apparently you're not supposed to drink it as it is highly chlorinated. Going to have to find a fix for that tomorrow.
What is your favorite encounter with an animal that was out in the wild? Have you ever had a bird chirp happily at you, or perhaps a nice ladybug or butterfly land on you for some time? I think today's experience with this super friendly and cuddly cat has to be one of my top ones, if the the highest.
Also, if you are wondering about the bracelet, it is not something I usually wear, but it was given to me by one of the very kind employees of the hotel we were staying at as a gesture of friendship. I'm going to wear it for the rest of my trip :)
