Just let that sink in for a second.

Some say the answer is to cut back on meat consumption.

Some say it's to feed animals slightly less and donate that to those who are struggling...

I say the answer is to stick a knife into the side of the animal product industry:

  • Plant fruit trees.
  • Eat more fruit.
  • Vote with your dollar, and enjoy some damn awesome fruit :)
  • Liberate people working for the meat industry so they can develop humanity further with more useful work!

...and for those that need tacos, skip the cheese for pico de gallo and/or guacamole! Replace the chicken flesh, cow flesh, etc-flesh with beans, walnuts, and mushrooms.

  • Cheese -> Pico de Gallo
  • Cheese -> Guacamole
  • Chicken meat -> Beans and mushrooms
  • Cow meat -> beans and soaked/crushed walnuts...

yes, all day yes. agreed.

...i had a feeling that adding the part about tacos would help :D jk!

all about the tacos. and yes. of course your totally right, but first BEHAVIOUR. that's the biggest challenge.

Great post! Totally agree with you :)

But it's not a 1:1 relationship. 1 cow or pig or (insert animal) typically feeds more than 1 person and over a duration of time.

The point is: the feed that you give to 1 cow (or 1 pig) is equal to the feed of how many humans?

The feed for cows over its lifetime will feed an absurd amount of human beings. The feed for pigs I will speculate to be at least the same as feeding 1 or 2 human beings.

So even if you only had 300,000 cows being fed GMO corn, grains, etc. then this alone will feed at least the 1 billion people that are starving.
