Dinner ... what I eat as a Fruitarian :)

in vegan •  7 years ago

Yesterday I posted my Lunch as a Fruitarian. I promised that day to also post my dinner. And I forgot. And don’t worry, I had the same thing for dinner again today :)

Meals are very simple with this style, and the meals still have a ton of flavor! Check this out...

This is “cucumber spaghetti”. The base is about 3 cucumbers that I ran through a spiralizer. The sauce I put on top is blended with a Vitamix:

  • 2 avocados
  • half of a red bell pepper
  • a bunch of cilantro
  • 1/4 of a Serrano pepper (Spicey!)
  • The ends of the cucumbers for extra water.

And then on top I garnish with a little bit of red onion, tons of black pepper, and lots of basil! :) this recipe is by @rawveganita !

I love this dish! It’s super hydrating and very filling.

Thank you! :)

It is my wish to serve you with these words!

Some info about me: I've been involved with Bitcoin since 2010. By trade I am an expert on blockchain technology. I am the Project Director for Wall of Coins, and CEO for Genitrust, Inc. I eat primarily fruits and leafy greens ("fruitarian"). This is known as a frugivorous diet, which is the diet by design of the human species and most primates. I don't cook my fruits, so you may also call this "raw vegan". I have eaten virtually every food item and major cultural style on this planet. I have experienced long periods of many different diet regimens: acid/alkaline, ketogenic, vegan, etc. In my spare time as a child, and an adult, I truly relished reading articles, books, and research papers on nutritional observation. I also enjoy and frequently practice long periods of juice fasting, water fasting, and dry fasting.

Thank you for reading, upvoting, tipping, and re-steeming!

This is more raw-foodist than fruitarian. That onion and cilantro don't wanna get chop. I'm doing a 7 days fruitarian challenge. Take a look my lunch video. All the things I ate are offerings from plants. I didn't kill any plants. https://steemit.com/fruitarian/@watermelonprince/day-2-of-my-168-hours-fruitarian-challenge-my-fruitarian-punch-and-fruitarian-lunch

I agree:

  • The onion is the living part of the plant--the root. It's pretty dirty and relatively less optimal of a food. I wouldn't even call it a food...
  • The cilantro are leaves and stems: it is the equivalent of hair. This is also something plants anticipate (losing leaves) and communicate warnings as a reaction. I am a fan of using cilantro as a detoxing tool, as it does work.

Great work on the 7-day challenge :) Do you follow @tedcarr ? Strongly recommended... check out his fruitarian stuff!

Both him and me got same Dtube uploading problems. Don't know how to fix it. Thanks for the recommendation. I'm on my day 4 and loving this process. I never eat this much fruit my entire life. I can feel my micrboes are growing strong and big for the first time. Do you know if there is easy way to detect, or measure the health level of our microbes? That could become popular in next 10 years.

Maybe it is just the sulphur that makes onions and garlic good but gladiators used to eat lots of onions so there must be something good to them. They also ate barley instead of wheat.

Onion was the bitcoins during their time. You can eat it and can store for a long time. How rich you are determine by how many onions you have :) Government pay you by onion and tax you with onion.

Onions and garlic supposedly do have some medicinal properties. Onions are pretty amazing. I do love how they store "forever" and you can eat the whole entire plant. I love onion greens. They go real well in chicken noodle soup.

Onion was the bitcoin’s during their time.

That entertained me XD Well said.

Looks amazing well done! Great to add some avocado in the mix! ;)

What is it that makes the base look so tasty? Almost looked like bread for me at first look! Thanks for letting me know about the spiralizer looked hilarious on Google Images didn't know machines to cut cucumbers existed haha. Some tomatoes added would be very nice both for taste and colour!

man, and i love this dish with julienne-cut, sun-dried tomatoes... ;x <3

Nice, I love vegetable noodles!
I like to mix cucumbers, zuccini and carrots and use a similar avocado sauce with lime juice, chili, garlic and cilantro.

fruit noodles*** ;D i am on a conquest to get others to call cucumbers and zucchinis FRUIT. Man, you remind me of the limes...I gotta add some of that :)

Yeah you're right, they are fruit:)
But I do like to spiralize vegetables also, roots like carrots and daikon work well.

Yay daikon :D have you ever tried to spiralizer jicama? I’ve thought of it...

Never tried it before, but I heard it's great for gut health because of the inulin it contains.

So healthy meal. Always inspire me to have such raw meal. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you my friend :)

Hello @robertgenito! I would like to invite you to our vegan group: https://discord.gg/Xfxxzks

aww thank you for the invite...I sincerely appreciate it! I'm afraid that I do not have much time left to check it out, especially since discord thinks my email is fake and won't send me a verification email!!! Send me good vibes to remind me to look into this! I have opened this chat room into a new window :)

Look super delicious! Thank you for showing that raw veganism is not only about plain fruits 😉

you are welcome :) give the dish a try...it's by far my favorite!! <3

Wow, great recipe. How do you manage to get the bulk of your protein into your diet with these types of recipes? Personally I struggle not to have any meat on my plate, fantastic recipe though. I shall be looking forward to more. 👍🏼D54FB4E7-DF56-4813-9399-FB71C60DE868.jpeg

Here's how I manage to "get the bulk of my protein": I don't. Screw protein :) All of your protein needs are met without even thinking about it becaaaauuuuuusee...PROTEIN IS EVERYONE. So other than that, all fruits contain all essential and conditional amino acids. It's all the protein--and more--thank you'll ever need...WITHOUT putting your body in an overly-acidic state.

Chew on dat :D
