Definitions of Freedom: People

The "Debate" of the Century

I think a space-time continuum might rip if these three people come into the same room. Luckily, they have similarities on the abstracted virtues: the non-agression principle. Yet why do these people end up on different pages on each others "freedom" movement? What do you say @dollarvigilante, Anarpuclo 2018?

Disagreements? Only One!

WHICH DIRECTIONS

Now some might think that this article shows how disillusioned the "freedom" movement seems, but they just have different ways of going about achieving what they see as "free society."

Once a person accepts the premises of non-aggression, the much more peaceful CONVERSATION would take place. Should we focus on freeing people? freeing animals? freeing technology?

I feel that these three movements total to about 3% of people in the world. Some would say this seems small, but I say it's a perfect amount. If these three movements truly converge as hard as they could on the non-aggression principle (perhaps equivalent to a radical Jainist?)

I like to call this phenomena: Free Blank Free Society, after Richard Stallman's book Free Software Free Society.

Dogmatism?

General Semantics brought me a strange position on fundamentalism and perspective differences. Right now, people at the opposing side have different "reality tunnels" as Timothy Leary puts it. So, the statist-omnivore-facebook user would find these people crazy! I find these movements similar, and I believe the vegetarians, libertarians, and open-source people would agree :)

So, according to these people:Does the idea of freedom move for each individual? No, we just gain more perspectives on what it could be. Does that mean that these speakers are wrong? No, just different avenues for the same idea...freedom in all sense of the word.

*** I wonder if we could have a better linguistic abstraction when talking about these higher order ideas *** Having a strong language, similar to mathematics will help us come up with finer solutions, instead of acting like model-theists, that only believe in our model of morality.

Gary Francione

I got to meet Gary Francione at a talk at Rutgers University. Extremely kind and nice. Of course, people who want freedom for others get quite passionate about it.

Mark Passio

Now, Mark Passio comes off "abrasive" as he calls it. When you meet him in person you will see genuine this man can be. Extremely brilliant, and doing his job to show a path to a conscious loving world.

Richard Stallman

I breifly met Richard Stallman at LibrePlanet 2017. I didn't get to talk to him much, but seems nice.
