People often ask me, "How was the transition to becoming vegan, is salads all you eat, what do you cook, and the famous how do you get protein? "
The decision to become vegan was one if the hardest thing's I've decided to do. Not only because it was new but I needed all of my food to be organic, but I wanted to follow Dr. Sebi's nutritional guide to have a more electric alkaline state body. So all of the food I had in the kitchen I didn't eat anymore I didn't want to anything but vegan meals. I went completely cold turkey on my old diet, and we even had prepared food already, but I made a decision to jump in head first into this new world.
Dr Sebi's says its hard for disease to live in an alkaline body.
So I printed his nutritional guide, then a friend who was already a vegan told me to Google Thrive Food (an online market place) to order some of the foods on his list from that website. She said you’ll save more money than shopping at Wholesfood.
So I searched Thrive Market then I ordered some spelt pasta, black quinoa, garbanzo beens(chickpeas), I purchased them dry and in a can, garbanzo bean flour, black beans, amaranth and tahini. My order came to my home with in a week, but before the order came I loaded up on red onions, green, yellow , red bell peppers, grapeseed oil, kale lots and lots of kale, and avacados. All of the items I purchased were USDA certified organic.
I then typed in what ever I had for example, kale, garbanzo bean, and quinoa recipe, clicked on pictures that seem reasonable for me to try, and I went on from there and followed the recipe card. I also Googled the benefits of every food I purchased and they came back as being one of the world's most healthiest foods, so I knew I was on the correct path.
I did that method for the first month until I could make it without thinking too much about it, but I started getting bored with the same meals over and over, and I honestly believe this is where people become discouraged, but this is when its good to have a VEGAN MENTOR, and to always know we live in the information age, so I called my friend's for more recipes and I found some vegan Chef's on youtube and through out social media.
I keep doing research on different recipes that I could continously stay on the Dr. Sebi Nutritional Guide then I ran across #tyconsciouskitchen on youtube and that has forever changed how I made my meals.
So for your vegan newbies know that it's people out here who want you to have a successful transition to being a vegan.
