What happened in Vegas: Zombies + Gold

Yesterday’s post about a cool promo from Coca Cola got me thinking about other cool promotions I have seen that made a huge impact on me more recently.

A few years ago in Las Vegas I saw one of the coolest promotions I have ever seen. It was a great vacation and as things tend to in Vegas, some other interesting things happened as well.

Also, as someone who was into zombies before they were cool (WAY before The Walking Dead). This show was FANTASTIC and highly recommended.... although EXTREMELY NSFW and not for anyone easily or even not easily offended.

I even got pulled onstage by a zombie and...... well thats another story for another time!

Speaking of zombies, I also got to go to the Zombie Apocalypse Store in Vegas:

The real reason for this post however, was an insane promotion for the book “Endgame.” Inside the novel was a puzzle where if you solved it, you would find a key.

The key unlocked a case on the floor of Ceasars Palace that contained $500,000 in GOLD COINS!

I had to see this for myself:

I’m pretty sure I stood here for an unnatural time period and stared.

I subsequently went upstairs to my hotel room and locked myself in until I solved the puzzle and got the coins and thats how I got the name Goldmatters!

I never forgot this promotion and I’m hoping it happens again so we can all take another crack at it!
