Nostalgia: Ford v8 1935

in vehiclephotography •  7 years ago

Sometimes time is unforgiving and puts rust on the treasures of the past. .

During a trip in Arad County, while admiring the views of a quiet village, i see in a yard an object covered by a canvas. I walk closer and see the face of the car that seemed to be forgotten by time. From one side i hear a voice: yes, there were beautiful times for her, but the times have gone.
He invites me inside and pulls the canvas off the car while telling me how she got there. During the revolution, it was hidden from the army that bordered the village. "With the time the car rusted and did not start .. I'm very sorry about it .. I would love to see it again on the wheels and cross the whole country," he said, but i cannot sell it..even if i really need money..
He also tells me that this is his only car and he has many beautiful memories along time. In this car he kissed his first and only love, a woman called Maria which unfortunately is no longer..

When I got into the car, I felt like the time stopped here. I spent a few minutes and I did not say anything, thinking about the beautiful places that this car has seen

The old man looked at me and say: do you want to sell my car?, i said no..just a few pictures as memories.. I promise him to return back and if needed to help him, but the only condition is to not sell the car.
He accepted and smiles to me saying: "You are a really nice man".

The story behind this car is more complex, i wish in an future post to write more about it.
I left the village, looking back with a lot of nostalgia and thinking that, this is life... today blooming, tomorrow rusty...

Thay is an awesom car and stoey, thanks for sharing. My dad has been working on a '37 Chevy, very similar style. It's a "straight 8" cylinder vehicle, that's why the front is so long. Definitely an awesome vehicle and blast from the past! Steem in friend.

Thank you. Old cars have personality, style and..story behind :)

Nice photos. But it will be really difficult to sell the car...Maybe better just save it as decoration...

I know.. he doesen t want to sell the car, he maybe wants one day to hear the engine running again..

That is a beautiful car from years gone by. The story is so sweet and I know that car has many to tell. It would be so lovely to see it restored to it's original beauty.

Thank you very much. I hope in a near future to write again about it. Glad that you liked :)

Wow awesome

Thank you :)
