I've been trying to get some vehicle photography in, as the last time I made a vehicle post was before I even bought my Nikon, so I am definitely overdue for one using my camera! I find this category to be a little bit more difficult as sometimes it takes more than just taking a picture of a car. I'm sure that sometimes the angle makes the whole picture. This is one thing I notice when seeing other vehicle shots. One winner I saw a while ago was just a picture of a giant tractor tire, and it looked awesome.
This is My entry for the #vehiclephotography contest by @juliank and @photocontests! Enjoy!

This is a picture I took one day when I first started working. I was cycling through some photo's I took at this jobsite and noticed a pretty cool shot for me to crop. At least for me, because I've never seen a crane on a cargo boat before and they were doing repairs to the side of some silo's. The only way to access was by water. There was a lot going on in the slip that day! Originally, I was taking pictures of the geese as they were being scared away by bottle rockets, but we'll leave that for another day! I just really liked being able to capture both the crane and the geese in the same shot. To me, it makes the vehicle shot more lively. I believe the one in front is a tow boat pulling the two cargo boats.

I've been so tired and busy lately that I've just neglected to bring my camera with me for at least 3 or 4 weeks now, but I also don't want it to get dusty on these dirty jobsites. This makes it difficult for me to want to bring it, but I am seeing a lot of great potential wherever I go as I work on my photographers eye. There is some graffiti that I've spotted downtown where I'm working that I'd like to get a picture of for sure, but I've gotten so used to not bringing my camera that lately I don't even think about it til I see stuff I want to take pictures of!
These pictures were taken back when I carefully did some ninja rockhounding at work, but I got to work early that day so I can take them. I haven't really been back to this particular jobsite in at least a month now, so I need to make the time to get pictures of the jobsite I'm at now before we finish up! There's some great pictures to be had there! I've been there too long though...I'm ready for a change of scenery.
As much as I dislike the whole day job gig, there's also many pictures to take at each jobsite. Not always easy to have time to take them, but I am also happy to have money as we've been barely scraping by for the last two years.

My first two attempts were subpar and taken with a smartphone, so there's nothing to'em!
When I joined Steemit I made the decision to always Power-Up my earnings. For now, payouts are set to 50/50 but you bet I will convert & Power Up! Besides internal transfers, I have never cashed out and don't plan on it! Power-Up only!
