Thank You. I shot raw and pushed the highlights and shadows quite far in capture one but not as much as I could have done. Some people say that micro four thirds cameras have much less dynamic range compared to full fame cameras but your comment sugests others. Thank you again.

I did not know micro four thirds cameras have much less dynamic range compared to full fame cameras. I own a Lumix GH3 so I think im the same boat. I have only corrected white balance in my photos and doing channel swapping for fun. I need to check out HDR.

Your GH3 should be fine. Shoot raw and see how much detail you can bring out of the shadows and highlights. Dynamic range is the range of brightness, from very dark to very bright that a camera sensor can capture. It is said that digital cameras have a range of between 11- 14 stops, with smaller sensors being nearer to 11 and larger sensors being closer to 14. I am very happy with the dynamic range of my olympus E-M5II which is probably pretty similar to the GH3, so no need to worry .

thanks for explaining this, I will give that a try with my RAWs. I may get some really interesting outcomes due to my hot-mirror being replaced with a full spectrum glass. May effect my Dynamic range.
