A famous Turkish newspaper writer says for Izmir when he want to describe the city : " When i get bored from Turkiye ,i go to Izmir..."
Izmir is the most liberalistic and deomacratic city in Turkiye...People who lives in Izmir are more open-minded and more cultured than the people who live in the rest of the country.
