Velikovsky's Lifelong Feud with Freud, and the MSM's Subsequent Beat-Down

Immanuel Velikovsky (Иммануи́л Велико́вский), according to Wikipedia "lived in what was then the British Mandate of Palestine from 1924 to 1939, practising medicine in the fields of general practice, psychiatry and psychoanalysis which he had studied under Sigmund Freud's pupil Wilhelm Stekel in Vienna. During this time, he had about a dozen papers published in medical and psychoanalytic journals. He was also published in Freud's Imago, including a precocious analysis of Freud's own dreams."

Somewhere after that, he got into it with Freud. According to Wikipedia, "Freud had argued that Akhenaton, the supposedly monotheistic Egyptian pharaoh, was the source of the religious principles that Moses taught to the people of Israel in the desert." Wanting to prove Freud wrong, Velikovsky plunged lifelong into research that would drive him, and divide science, well into the 1970's. And for a man who unwittingly diverted into this field of study in 1939, just because he wanted to prove someone wrong, that's a long time! Not to mention, quite a warning to anyone wanting to get into a dispute with him!

He studied Earth changes in the historical record. He studied the Universe. He then publicly predicted that Venus was a lot hotter than mainstream scientists of his day predicted it would be. In this 1964 Camera Three interview, he discusses his vindication when mainstream science itself, proved he was indeed correct about Venus.

With that kind of dedication, who would ever doubt him?
I mean, come on. He was arguing his point so hard... they had a hard time ending the interview!
