IN the USA we hear crazy stories about the economy of Venezuela breaking down and food being hard to get. Is this true?

There used to be a cool radio show on a college station in Atlanta called "The Spanish Invasion" (as a play on words to what was called The British Invasion in the 60s in the American music scene.).
