Hello! Friends I bring you a new trip that I did, feeding and strengthening the Cultural Heritage of my land in this case in the historic center of Caracas. Although there are many places, in this case I invite you to know ** the Sacred Museum of Caracas, ** located in Plaza Bolivar next to the Cathedral of Caracas, esq. Gradillas, many times I have gone through that place and this time it occurred to me to enter there out of curiosity and the truth is fascinating and ideal to spend an afternoon and even lunch, since they enabled a restaurant area
The tour begins with a room where we can identify and see different old collections referring to the Catholic part, which has been very descado for our history although it frames the colonization in our lands.
The history identifies us that that place previously for the date of 1673 the place was considered like an old cemetery of the Cathedral of Caracas for its bishops and certain personalities of the city.
It ceased to function as a cemetery before a decree issued by Antonio Guzman Blanco in the year 1872.
History tells us that for 1981 it was declared a National Historical Monument according to Official Gazette No. 32,281 of July 31, 1981.
In 1993 they made certain restorations and it was until this moment that it began to be called Museo Sacro de Caracas.
In it we can find the remains of the parents, wife and even of the black Matea relatives of our Liberator.
In the place it is forbidden to take pictures inside the rooms however this is my challenge, I had to limit myself and if I bring them some, enjoy them as it is difficult to reach them through the Web.
