Greetings steemits, today I have been melancholic, feeling that the situation in my country (Venezuela) does not improve at all nor do I think it will improve in the near future. A country in which no matter how hard you work and struggle, it is very difficult for you to obtain the basic and necessary things to have a peaceful and healthy life. To give you an example: Venezuela's minimum integral salary is in the order of 800,000 Bs., And 1 kg of rice costs 240,000 Bs. And a package of 30 eggs costs 560,000 Bs. Where it is practically impossible to obtain medicines for serious conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, kidney failure, etc., should give you an idea of how terrible the situation is.
To complete the number of government controls, hundreds of companies close their doors every day as their operation becomes economically unsustainable.
But what saddens me the most is the number of relatives and friends who have had to leave the country without anything safe, only to look for the sustenance that they have so elusively done in their own land, a couple of they have done very well (something that consoles me in some way), others wrong ... with horrible situations product of the xenophobia of ignorant and backward people, and others much worse ... having to return in a much more precarious than before ... since they sold all their belongings to leave and when they went badly they returned with absolutely nothing.
I? Well, despite being affected by medical conditions that are aggravated by the lack of medication (hypertension and hyperinsulinism) I refuse to leave my country, I feel that someday this will improve (I do not know when) and all of our exiled friends and family will return and will be reunited so many families broken by the distance and together we will rebuild this land that despite all its problems is beautiful and unique.
It consoles me to think (rather dream), that the guilty of this situation will pay in one way or another all the damage caused, because although it is very bad to think of revenge I think impunity is worse.
