News in the US has turned to the Mueller report and the only updates we see are protesters continuing to roam the streets of Caracas. We did hear that Maduro was on a plane the first day of protests and was headed to Cuba. Apparently, the Russian Government talked him out of leaving.
“There’s no turning back,” Juan Guaido, opposition leader, said as he addressed thousands of supporters on the streets of Caracas on Wednesday after failed attempt to recruit military to his side. Maduro has accused protesters of “serious crimes” that would “not go unpunished.” He also repeated claims that the U.S. was plotting a coup against him. Finally, the United Nations has called on all sides to show “maximum restraint.”
