Veritaseum tokens stolen then sold on Etherdelta

Sunday night, July 23, Reggie Middleton told others that hackers had stolen tokens.

Ethereum Accounts provided by Reggie indicate at least 36,000 token were stolen. At the time, VERI was trading at around 1:1 with ETH, or about $225 each (per coinbase price). That's a theft of over $8 million.

Later that evening, someone was selling large amounts of VERI on Etherdelta, driving the price down.

So for those concerned, I think Reggie is not going to fork the VERI tokens. From his comments, I am guessing that someone(s) might have stole Reggie's phone number two overcome 2 factor authentification. And then gained access to his accounts and eventually his wallet.

I am sure VERI will recover but we all need to take this as a warning that anyone can be a victim and your security needs to be a priority.
