My Vessel desktop wallet shows me that I have 0.500 SP, but I can not convert. Did i something wrong. In set menu Vesting you can convert from SP to Steem, correct

You can't power down that amount because it is too small. You have been delegated 14SP by Steemit to give you the bandwidth to be able to post so you need to post and curate to earn some rewards before you can power down. Even if you could power down your 0.5SP it would be pretty pointless because it takes 12 weeks and you would end up with 0.04 Steem a week for 12 weeks or something.
Don't power down. Post, curate, get a following and then power up and increase your stake in the platform. It's taken me over 18 months to build up 1000SP. It's a long slow process and can be frustrating when you see people making a lot of money while your posts make next to nothing. Perseverance is the key. Remember, if you blogged anywhere else you would be earning nothing. At least you have a chance on Steemit albeit a small one at first. Good luck. I'll upvote your comment at 100% to start you off.
