VeChain is a blockchain platform that contains two tokens: the VeChain Token (VET) and VeChainThor Energy (VTHO).
VeChain was founded in 2015 by Sunny Lu, former Chief Information Officer (CIO) of Louis Vuitton China.
The VEN token initially operated on the ETH blockchain. In 2018, VeChain switched to its own blockchain and rebranded. As part of the rebranding, the VEN blockchain became the VeChainThor (VET) blockchain.
VeChain has also partnered with Renault.
