TOMS RIVER - Veterans will be celebrated in downtown Toms River on Monday, Nov. 13 when the Ocean County Veterans Day Parade marches down Main and Washington streets.
Veterans Day -- Nov. 11 -- falls on a Saturday this year, so the parade has been shifted to Monday to allow marching bands from the Toms River schools to participate.
The parade will kick off at 9:30 a.m. from the Toms River Shopping Center at the corner of Routes 37 and 166 (Main Street). It will march south down Main Street and turn left onto Washington Street, ending by town hall.
Following the parade, there will be ceremony honoring veterans in front of town hall, 33 Washington St.
