An interesting article coupled with a short video clip of an art exhibition of flash, with tattooers there to allow for the public to choose from the art on the walls and get tattooed at the exhibition.

Kinda like a convention but not, although this could be a nice idea for a convention or at least one hall/room (at a convention) where they exhibit some flash and then seek out the artist who’s flash it is and get something done. It could also work as a mini convention in your hometown, work with some like minded artists and hold your own flash exhibition? Would you feel comfortable being tattooed in this environment?
From speaking to tattooers it’s a mixed bag, some love flash and some hate it. After having tattooed flash a lot in my early years of tattooing, I’ve moved on to almost everything drawn up for each client, still, I have a nostalgic love for flash pieces and love tattooing good flash.
It's an interesting idea although it does come across a little hipster-ish, but then again I guess people could say that about tattoos in general...
