WHY Alaskans DON'T Move Away From Alaska?

I think at some point our family will probably end up back in Alaska, there is such a powerful feeling of belonging whenever we go back home to visit. There really isn't anything like the wild beauty

I know, why settle for less? I left Alaska once for 4 months. I planned on being gone a year, but that felt endless. Come home!

We are living in Utah currently and it kinda scratches some of the same itches. The view of snow covered mountains out my back door ain't half bad. I do miss the sea though. And family. But at least we have wild mountain wilderness starting just a couple miles away from our house. And the weather here in the winter is insane! Sunny and in the forties and fifties pretty regularly. We have been hiking almost every weekend this winter in our shirtsleeves.

See, it all sounds so nice when you put it that way. 🥰
