Today in Music (September 25th)

in music •  7 years ago

What interesting new songs or albums were released or were topping the charts on September the 25th in the history of music? What has happened on this day in the music universe? I apologize in advance that my view is quite narrow since I only know and follow western music.

Yesterday’s pick were very loud so will be gentle today.

In 1971 Cat Stevens released his single “Peace Train”.

He is named Yusuf Islam these days.

In 1967 the Beatles recorded “Fool on the Hill”.

I love this song.

In 1964 Roy Orbison had No. 1 Chart Toppers Pop Hit with “Oh, Pretty Woman”.

Please remember that these artists and songs are my personal choices and are not always what you would consider a great hit. OK, most of the time they are.
