Yeah, I think you're right. It might be a cool opportunity to harness the power of a "collective" mind. I've seen a group of artists work together here in Austin, Texas to create a positive impact here on our city. As individuals, they hardly made a mark, but as a collective, they're able to receive funding that enables them to collaborate on bigger and better projects. This is ideal. I can understand the potential challenges of this, though, too. I myself was one step away from joining the collective I mentioned here, for example, and now I am still an artist, working as an individual, and facing the issue of invisibility. I mean, it's a joy to create art, and that's why I do it, but the spotlight remains on the collective. Know what I mean? Such an interesting place to record your video, btw. I haven't ever seen what a coffee plantation looks like until now. And so adventurous to shoot your video in a rainstorm!

Haha, yeah I wanted to get the video out and it was getting late and dark and the rain was coming. Luckily it didn't really start while I was filming. It was still in the distance.

Yes, the collective can achive a lot here on Steemit. More than any individual can probably ever achieve. So teaming up with others is key for success here. :)

Yeah, now that you mention it I can think of three distinct groups of people who are clearly working together. They each have a good mission, and so naturally I'm supportive of what they're doing. Quick note: I’m spotlighting your video here in a curated list, recognizing posts that shine in their optimistic realism. I love your stuff man. Following you. You are a filmmaker? My brain starts ticking...

Yes, I am a filmmaker. Thanks for asking. My profession is videography. I've completed a couple of short films, and my claim to fame is a documentary feature film about parenting, called Wild Family. Next, I'm creating a documentary about people's experiences with #angels. Let me know if you'd like to collaborate on a video project. I'm proud of you, and glad to know you.

That sound very cool. My dad wrote a book about angels.

Oh cool, man. Is your dad's book published? I've been reading some great material in support of this project. Now I just have to be patient as the people with angel experiences prepare for their interviews.

Yeah, it is called The book of angels by Francis Melville.

I totally agree. The problem is that like in so many other platforms it is almost impossible to be noticed and the circle that "control" everything are in charge of choosing who will be "accepted" and pull to the top 😉 I have seen great users here that upload awesome original and interesting content on a very regular basis and they are only making pennies from it. 😅

That is true but there are actually many solution coming out in parallel to solve this problem. There are also several softwares developed as we speak to make it all more accessible.

Steemit is far from perfect but it offers opportunities. It is up to us to improve and chnage the platform by coming up with solutions, workarounds, 3rd party apps and so on. Imagine what we can achieve within a year. :)

I agree with You. My biggest regret is that I have never focus on learning more about crypto when I first registered and only a few months ago decided to start using the platform. 🔫 i was stupid.

Well, it is hat it is. Don't feel regret but relief that you are still among the early adopters here which will be a very beneficial thing at some point in the future. :)

Only the time will tell 😁😉
