Welcome to another Friday Fright Night, the series that is all about spreading and sharing the terrifying beauty of the Lovecraft theme movies around our community.

The title of today's movie is
"The Hound"

It is 1997 short horror movie created by Anthony Penta.

The stars are Scott Alan Hoye and Steve Toth.

IMDB storyline description:

"In this adaptation of H.P. Lovecraft's short story, two grave-robbers enter an old cemetery on an island and break into one of the tombs. They steal a mysterious amulet, thus, activating a centuries old curse."

Some facts about the movie:

"This amateur adaptation of Lovecraft's story was photographed on SVHS video in and around Ypsilanti and Ann Arbor, Michigan, in the summer of 1997 and was edited at the Ann Arbor Community Television Network. The film premiered at the 1998 H.P. Lovecraft Film Festival in Portland, Oregon, and from 1999-2010 was distributed on VHS and DVD by Lurker Films LTD.
This shot-by-shot HD restoration, with new opening and closing credits, was assembled from the original SVHS camera tapes."
