Hey everybody! We took some photos and video of the Eclipse so I thought i'd share them with everyone for my first post.

Path of the eclipse, our location marked with a blue dot. We traveled from Sarasota Florida to Lexington South Carolina to see the Eclipse. Lexington was directly along the line of full totality- it was also the area with the longest duration of full totality clocking in at 2m 36s!

The town of Lexington SC was ready for a crowd and had a great staff at the local baseball field. They even had a free train for the kids to ride, my son is in the first car with his shirt off. (It was a hot day at 98 degrees.)

Cooling off with some air conditioning.. we got there 5 hours ahead of time so we had a little wait.

It begins, used my iphone with eclipse glasses held over the camera.. so gangsta

It started getting noticeably cooler as the coverage hit around 50%

The shadows took on an "HD" quality. It is hard to explain unless you have witnessed one.. everything got darker and the temp got cooler slowly at first and then picked up speed.

More strange shadows. It looked like late evening but the shadows were as if it was still midday. I had a very uneasy feeling like some sort of meteor was going to crash into us, or the sun was going to explode, unsettling yet exciting.

These were taken within 20 seconds of each other. The sky turned very dark very quickly.. like god moved the dimmer switch down on reality in a fraction of a second. The whole crowd was stunned, people were gasping. An old man yelled out how beautiful it was. We could see stars in the sky, where sky touched the ground was bright blue, above us.. only black.. with the tendrils of light coming off the sun. I never really noticed how small the sun was in the sky until then. And it was just a black dot at this point.
