I loved that you shared this! I was just in Mexico City in early June and have heard about how "dangerous" it is, but I felt like it was pretty safe. I even stayed near the Zócalo (historic area) and my Mexican friends told me to be extra weary. I think as a solo female traveler, we just have to be aware of our surroundings in the city.
