We have the same problem in my country, they managed to cut about 70% of the forests in the past few years. The gouverment acts like they really try to do something but in the end they are being paid to close an eye and let people cut trees.

This is a problem for all because without the forest the balance of nature will be ruined and plans will come. Planned forest management, integrated through selective logging and re-planting systems. Community involvement is also very important here because forest is the lung of the earth. So without the lungs of the earth we have a sick earth. Soon we prevent before it's too late.

It is so hard to stop trees being cut down but what every single person on the planet can do is PLANT A TREE.
Come on people - there are millions of us. If we all get into the habit of planting some trees in our lifetime these issues will not have the same impact.
Did you ever plant a tree? It feels really really good to do so. Try it.
