Ch[a]n[ges]

in video •  7 years ago

In the last two years I worked on an editorial project called Mondocane, this is one of the audiovisuals series I developed for the magazine: Ch[a]n[ges]. My goal was to show a century of history in just 60 seconds without any ideological influence conveyed by written informations. This one in particular is about Iraq, a country that now - as many times in the past - is living dramatic times. Through 30 photographies, 3 per decade, this video shows some of the moments that has left a significative mark in the story of the country. Colonialism, Sykes-Picot Agreement (which for the first time has defined the borders with Syria), the oil, the coups, the short time of peace, the infinite wars, and above all: the people of Iraq, narrated without any journalistic claim with the hope to generate a will to discover more about this topic.
