DTube, now d.tube, is a very new video sharing platform alternative to youtube where anyone can earn money in the form of steem dollars from posting popular video content. It is part of the steemit.com platform. Already people are making more money on steemit than on youtube, which is an indication of how powerful this new platform is, especially as it is still very early days. It is a decentralised content sharing platform and is free of the issues we are seeing here on youtube today. However it does not have some of the major benefits of youtube, like infinite money and a functional monopoly over the world. I discuss the steem blockchain currency as well as the differences between steem, steem power and steem dollars. Transfers only take 3 seconds with steem and it is by far one of the most promising looking altcoins in the market right now for long game investments, that is providing that steem doesn't turn out to be a Ponzi scheme, which I'm hoping it isn't.
