The Gritts E & The Roxstar

This is a video I created for a video editing class in college. It's got a long introduction but try and watch the whole thing. It is a short film about special places around Moab, Utah. The whole meaning about the video is what you do as a local boy growing up in a small town like Moab, and watching how much it has changed in my lifetime. The truth is I liked Moab a hell of a lot better before the rest of the world discovered Moab. The thing is that at one time way back before my Great X 4, Grandpa, Alfred G. Wilson settled the valley back in 1878. That is how far back my roots go in this town. So what right? Well I now know how the native man must of felt like when my 4 X great grandpa came here so many years ago. I can't go to deep into this yet but, Moab has a spirit here. It like a force or a presents of some kind power that most people can't understand. I know it because I have lived it. There have been times when I have heard the beating of the drums and could walk through a timewarp in a way as you wander around in the desert. When the white man came they changed the spirit of the valley. Just like what is happening here now. The more that people keep coming here, the more it takes from the spirit. If you must have a comparison I would have to resort to the movie Cocoon? When all the senior citizens swarmed in on the pool, it took all the magic out of the water and it the aliens cocoons start to die. Maybe something like that would be close to comparison of what I am talking about. The only way the spirit can keep up with the demand that we have brought upon it ourselves, is to stop selling out to the rich. We also have to quit making laws and ordinances that are slowly weeding us poor folks out of our homes. Just like the way the natives must of felt back then. I have made this video with that spirit in mind. I have felt this way for along time. It is hard for me to put into words the amount to emotions that I feel about the subject.
