Most likely this is the reason it is so hard now to replace out a battery in these things. That's about the only reason I end up buying a new phone is the damn thing breaks lol

Yeah I know the feeling. Some people replace their phone very regularly I personally was very happy with my iPhone 6 Plus until it was stolen. Now I have the Razer Gaming Phone coming in the mail as my next upgrade. gonna have to get used to Android.
