On location in Chatham, Massachusetts on the set of the Disney's Finest Hour. That is my in the picture above, second from the left of the picture.
"A heroic action-thriller, “The Finest Hours” is the remarkable true story of the greatest small boat rescue in Coast Guard history."
Crew, stunt performers and actors had a lot of cold wet days making this film. In water tanks, or dropping rain on us, jumping off of ships into water. It was fun film to work on but it was cold and we were wet a lot. It is also very hard to pee with a dry suit on. I love my job. lol
Behind the scenes video.
The film was shot mostly in Quincy Boston MA on a old dry dock. The sets where huge, I never seen a ship rebuilt on a sound stage with working hydraulics that tilted and rocked the shop back and forth.
