I've been thinking about this a little more and more over the past couple of weeks, but the last time I tried to do it, it didn't seem to get much attention. Since then, this place has changed a lot, as has the user base, so I wonder how doable it would be now.
Here's how it works:
Each person who wants in on the video just has to send in a 2 to 5 second long video clip, from which I will carve out the best 1-second snippet contained in your clip. Everyone's "seconds" will be edited together to produce a final video. The music and animated Steemit logo for the video will also be a products of members of Steemit.

Above 1st one was good but I think you could improve by making each video bit longer to watch and have the original sounds from each video. Have a theme per video and have Steemians send you video based on that one theme....good idea though.

I'm going to disagree with the original sound of the video suggestion because I've seen it done, especially on videos from people who used the 1 Second Everyday app, and to me it's just not as interesting. I might consider allowing some clips longer than 1 second, but this will largely depend on how many entries I get VS how much time I need to fill.

Sounds like you know the best way to make videos. What theme would be nice if your followers each of then send in 1 or 2 min describing them, their passion, hobbies, why joined Steemit or what is their goals in Steemit.
This way you and other followers get know other followers better to know how to meet their goals.

I'll make a more formal post soon, but Vimeo will probably be the preferred option because they give you the option to turn on an "original file download" option for viewers. I suppose I could also accept Youtube, but then quality suffers.
