Day 10 – Part 1:

Fred woke up smiling. For the first time in ten days, he wasn’t panicking, running, or getting attacked by random creatures. Because today… He was finally leaving.

Standing on the deck of his fully repaired ship, he stretched his arms and took in the morning air. The sky was clear. The ocean was calm. Even the Gobblins seemed to be giving him a break.

“Hah! I actually did it! I fixed the boat, got the power crystal, and now—”

THOOM.

A massive shockwave ripped through the island, shaking the ground. Fred froze. His smile faded.

“…Oh no.”

Slowly, he turned around and immediately regretted it. Gathered on the shore… Standing in a massive, terrifying army… Every. Single. Boss. Gronks. Big Chunks. Guardians. Villager Chiefs. Even that one Dave he forgot to kill. All of them stood together, weapons glowing, eyes filled with pure rage.

Fred sighed. “Okay. What is this? A revenge meeting?”

One of the Chiefs stepped forward. “Fred. You have angered the island. You have slain our strongest warriors, stolen our treasures, and—”

Gronk leaned in. “And he robbed the casino.”

“OH RIGHT, AND HE ROBBED THE CASINO.”

Fred rolled his eyes. “Look, I don’t have time for this. I’ve already clapped all of you before. Can’t we just—”

The biggest Big Chunk stomped forward.

“YOU. NOT. LEAVE.”

Fred glared at him. Then at the entire boss army. Then at his barely stocked inventory. Then back at the boss army.

He sighed. “Fine. Let’s just get this over with.”

He cracked his knuckles and pulled out his best weapon.

“YOU REALLY THINK YOU CAN DEFEAT US ALL? YOU’LL BE CRUSHED!”

“Nah, I’d win.”

As he was about to take them on–

WHOOSH.

Something massive flew overhead. The wind roared as a shadow blocked out the sun. Fred blinked.

“…Wait, what?”

Before anyone could react—

BOOM.

A huge, vibrant, green dragon slammed into the ground, sending the boss army flying in every direction. Gronks screamed as they were ripped apart by giant claws. Big Chunks shattered like glass under the dragon’s massive jaws. The Villager Chief tried to run—but the dragon left no survivor and breathed fire on him, leaving nothing but ash.

Fred watched in horror.

“…What the flip dude.”

Within seconds, the entire boss army—the same bosses that had given Fred hell for days— Were obliterated. The dragon lifted its head, blood dripping from its fangs. It slowly turned to Fred.

Fred gulped. “Uh… hi?”

The dragon snorted. Then, to Fred’s absolute shock, it spoke.

“You fixed the boat. Good. Now it’s time.”

Fred blinked again. “Time for what?”

The dragon’s eyes glowed. “For you to face… Bob.”

Fred squinted. “…Who?”

The dragon spread its massive wings, sending a shockwave of air through the island. “I am Bob!” It bellowed. “No one leaves this island, ever.”

Fred stared at the dragon, then at the burning remains of every boss he had fought so far, then back at the dragon. And finally— He let out the deepest sigh of his life.

“Oh, COME ON.”
