Hi All! Just curious how many game designers are on here...? What kind of inspirations do you draw from for your own games? Any game or person in particular? How big do you want to be in the game industry?

For myself, I admire Yoko Taro, the guy behind Nier Automata. Aside from his quirkiness, his humility really impresses me and I strive to be as talented as him one day. I thoroughly enjoyed his GDC presentation he did along with Takahisa Taura.
Some other games I look to for inspiration are (although my game is no where near the level of those (yet!)):
- Inside
- Limbo
- Legend of Zelda
- the Souls series
I'm looking forward to hearing other's inspirations!

In my school there is one teacher that is very similiar to Sandu Ciorba. My 'friends' are sometimes singing Dalibomba on his lessons. I decided to make some games with Sandu and my 'friends' love those minigames, but my biggest project is definitly not a game
