some days ago I made a review of the current Tomb Raider movie (You can find it here) and now I want to judge the newest Tomb Raider videogame called "Rise of the Tomb Raider".

Why I am playing it
I bought it one day after I saw the Tomb Raider movie in cinema. I already played the Tomb Raider game from 2013 but after I watched the fantastic film with Alicia Vikander I just had to buy the newest game of the Tomb Raider series. I am playing it on PC.
The story
Lara Croft - the main character of Tomb Raider - is rushing in a new adventure. She wants to finish the work of her dead father and tries to reveal the secret of the divine source.

To do that she travels to Siberia where she hopes to find the mysterious city of Kitesch.
But the violent organization Trinity tries to find the divine source as well and they want to use it to rule the world. Lara has to stop that, no matter what.
This game is awesome
I played Rise of the Tomb Raider 12 hours so far and haven't finished it yet but I can say: It's amazing!
Why?
First of all, the resolution of the game is fantastic. Rise of the Tomb Raider looks so great, you just want to watch it all day. It is way better than in Tomb Raider(2013) - really great work. That is exactly what gamers want to see.

In addition to that the story is thrilling, I love to discover new tombs and caves. This game has so much to offer:
- many weapons and extensions for them
- a long and exciting story with a lot of side quests
- a great Lara Croft
- many collectable items like letters or relicts
- a huge open world map
- challenging riddles inside of temples and tombs
Conclusion
If you like thrilling shooter-/adventure-videogames with a strong female main character, a huge brilliant looking open world and a lot of things to discover, you'll love Rise of the Tomb Raider 😍

The game is very far from being great. Most of the game if not half of it . Felt like a sliding version of temple run on android. While, this tomb raider lacks tombs and, raiding. As well what the books already said, how she was as a kid.
This game is really off from what the source material said she was and, is. So the game is just ok. It's good if you ignore all source material it ignores.

@zannonkoitsu Sure it is not perfect, but it is a fun game to play and has a lot of positive aspects too. I can see your point (and if you don't like it that's okay) but I will continue playing it and I'm certain I will enjoy it.

Rise of the tomb raider was such an enthralling story with so many dramatic scenes and it really keeps you going through out the entire game! So many things to do see and experience and put your wits against and not just battling you can use stealth, survival skills and plenty of enginuity the game seems authentic and really emerces you in the world of tomb raider!
I played the previous game on Xbox 360 and this on PS4 and I loved ThTs previous game and I’m glad to see there was a real step up and effort to push the boundaries even more! I really like the new survival take on Lara’s adventures and look forward to the next game in the series
