Ace of Spades: Steam Backlog Project

Hey, hey.

How are things? I did some boredom busting on an evening that everyone fell asleep moderately early.

I tried out a game in my Steam backlog that I remember being gifted by a good friend and co-worker who has since finished a compsci degree and pulled in a great gig at a datacenter. We played Ace of Spades quite a bit when it first came up for sale.

It didn't seem like I picked a great time to get back to the game. I found 2 servers out of at least 100 that had any population at all to play with or against.20170717220003_1.jpg

Going in, things were pretty easy to pick back up relatively quickly. I became a zombie in about the first 50 seconds. I never said I was good at the game...and spent the rest of the time I played skirting the outside of the map and trying to determine if the guy that was headshotting everyone was just that good...or had some kind of aimbot going on. I'm pretty certain something funky was happening while I was in spectator, the guy kept racking up kills while facing blocks.

Verdict:
With more players and more populated servers, Ace of Spades could become a favorite again. I just happen to be a social recluse and don't have any friends with which to play it any longer.

Thanks for reading this vomit of words that I am choosing to call a review! Evenin' to ya.
