The Austrian capital has a population of around 1.900.000 inhabitants.
In my opinion it’s the most beautiful city in central Europe. When you get in to the city center (Stephansplatz) there is lot of luxury stores. You can buy whatever you need. But there is lot of cafés as well. I personally love Starbucks, but there is lot of coffee shops that look awesome as well. I love hipster look of cafés and the way they prepare the coffee.
About sightseeing, Stephansdom is really cool building which is almost 38 metres.
Sure I can’t forget about popular Weihnachtsmarkt. You can smell the taste of the sweets and delicacies. If you come here, you should absolutely try almonds roasted in sugar.

Vienna, the capital of Austria with its historical centre is a beautiful place to visit anytime of the year. In the summer you can party all night and in the winter the Christmas Markets are the most enticing place to visit.
The capital of the former fifty million Habsburg empire bears traces of your glorious history to this day. It's suitable for us to create images of flashy representative buildings, a stroller pulled by a pair of joggers, ladies in gloves, dressed in long dresses with a "pacifier", Sacher cake and fragrant coffee. And reality? Not so far from imagination.
Walking through the center of a almost two million city, you will feel the atmosphere of a clean, noble metropolis. No wonder, for every nation likes to remember its glorious past, including the Austrians. They well know that a large share of the greatest impressions have significant monuments that believe care. And it pays off. The streets of Vienna are full of tourists at this time of the year.
On Monday and Tuesday we went to the centre of Vienna. We knew that we want to taste some special food and enjoy nice days. Like the first building we saw St. Stephen´s Cathedral. It stands in the middle of Stephansplatz. The beautiful atmosphere of the square was complemented by stalls with lots of goodies. We tried some of them and I think that it was better then we expected.
Then we went to try local cafés. With so many businessmen working there, it is our favourite way to work remotely in Vienna. I can imagine that I would work like this.
Then we went to see some historical buildings – The Maria Theresia Monument, The Austrian National Library and a lot of other places.
We spend in centre of Vienna two beautiful days and I am so shocked how nice is this city. I believe that I will come here again because of the atmosphere and the welcoming people.

For the tenth time, Vienna has been voted the most liveable city. It is regularly ranked in various surveys at the top of the list of places where people want to live. But the capital is not only synonymous with Christmas markets, classical music or Mozart's balls.
All typical sights of Vienna are located along the more than five-kilometer-long Ringstraße in Vienna's first district called 1.Bezirk. The ring road is also popular among runners and cyclists.
On the outskirts of the Old Town, in the former imperial court stables, is the Museum's District, which is one of the largest cultural sites in the world.
Christmas markets are held in the courtyard in winter. It is also worth visiting the Art Hall or Designforum. The world's fourth largest art collection boasts a well-known art history museum.
A few meters from the Museumsquartier, between the famous Mariahilferstrasse shopping street and Burggasse, is the district called Spittelberg with a hint of Biedermeier. It offers an interesting mix of bars, pubs, restaurants, cafes and art shops.
The legendary Grand Hotel Sacher on Philharmoniker Street is still synonymous with Viennese lifestyle and is one of the most sought after places. There is a queue for tasting the original cake, which is produced according to a strictly guarded recipe. It tastes best in the hotel's Blue Bar.
If you don't like the sweet, go for a sandwich in the sought-after Schwarzes Kamel on Am Graben Square. Cafés are characterised by a lively atmosphere and eloquent guests, with local businessmen.
Vienna has turned into a multicultural metropolis in the last twenty years, and thanks to its variety of tastes, visitors have a lot to choose from. Foreigners enriched traditional Austrian gastronomy with not only exotic dishes in restaurants, but also specialised grocery stores or markets, the most famous of which is Naschmarkt. This Viennese marketplace offers a varied culinary offer, from traditional Viennese to Indian, Israeli and Vietnamese cuisine.
At Naschmarkt, a diverse mix of customers buy fruit, vegetables and delicacies from around the world from dawn to sunset. The market also includes a regular Saturday flea market.
Vienna is also the home of schnitzels and exclusive clubs. If you want to taste a real Viennese steak or tafelspitz, you should visit Plachutt or the family business Figlmüller.

A day in Vienna or what you can manage in 24 hours
The Rathaus is a huge and extraordinarily engaging building in front of which it is very often alive. The area in front of the town hall is used for various festivals, markets or Christmas markets. There are about two thousand clerks working in the building, and in addition to the town hall, balls are held for the highest dump and various social events.
The Volksgarten Public Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is located in the inner city. And there is a reason. The park is designed as a rosary, is in English style and full of all kinds of roses. As you walk through it, you will come across Theseustempel, the Temple of Thesaus, and two cafes.
The Hofburg is a Viennese chateau that you should not miss. The whole palace is quite large. Extensive world-class collections, beautiful cafes, restaurants, lots of parks and places to relax await you. If you get caught in saliva and want to go through it all, you will certainly spend the whole afternoon here. Today, Hofburg is the seat of the Austrian Federal President.
Kärtner Strasse is a lane for lovers of shopping. Here you can get everything from jewelry to handbags, shoes, clothes. Just watch out, Sunday is obviously not doing anything, so you are not spending any money.

Vienna is of Austria's cultural, economic, and political centre. The state is located in northeastern Austria.
On Monday and Tuesday, me and my group were exploring some nice places in city centre of Vienna.
First, we saw St. Stephen’s Cathedral which takes place in the Stephansplatz. It is one of the Austria's most important Gothic monuments. Since 1469 it has been the seat of the Bishops and later of the Archbishops. We tasted some specialities of Christmas markets and took some nice pictures together. After that we visited lots of shops that were around. Everyone of us bought something.
Then we went to see the Maria Theresia Monument. It’s a huge memorial in the centre of the place. It was constructed under the lead of Kaspar von Zumbusch in a 13 years construction period.
Next place was The Austrian National Library. It is the largest library in Austria, with more than 12 million items in its various collections. It’s located in the Neue Burg Wing of the Hofburg in centre of Vienna.
Last place that we visited was a café Starbucks. Everyone tasted some coffees of the Christmas edition and it tasted very good. We had a good time together.
The whole city is really beautiful. We was there when it was dark and saw the enlightened city by Christmas lights. We are very lucky to be here at this time.

The historic center of Vienna was listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2001 and lies on the Danube River.
We are hosted on the edge of city at Wilhelminenberg. We go to the city first by bus and then by metro. Today we saw the Hofburg Imperial Palace, St. Stephen's church, Votivkirche. Then we went to see the Christmas markets. After we visited FrohesFest where you can ice-skating. There is a place for couples too, where you can get kiss under the mistletoe and blessed your love for a long time. Also there is a tree with many hearts, that shines in the evening.
We are in Vienna for 2 days and I like it. It is a very nice city, many tourists come here for sightseeing. I'm looking forward to more experiences.

Vienna through my eyes
The capital city of Austria is Vienna, lies south of the Czech Republic. The Danube flows through Vienna. Until be the beginning of the 20th century, it was the largest German speaking city in the world. Today it is the second largest German speaking city. Transport is easily accessible. Metro and tram are part of the city transport. There are many places worth seeing.
Today we went to museum district and saw some museum and some other sights. My favourite sight is Votivkirche, because it was opened and we could go inside. It is really nice church. We visited Christmas market called Frohefest. It was amazing place with many stalls and also with outdoor ice-skateing. I like the Christmas mood that breathes on me all over Vienna. There is many lights and christmas decoration. We bought some food before leaving for accommodation. The teacher went to the town with us and we had to go to the accommodation ourselves. I was afraid of that, but we did it.
I am glad that we had a free program today, because we could explore the center of Vienna by ourselves. I like the accommodation very much and I feel safe here. I am curious what else the next days will bring us.

The first day we got off at Stephansplatz and then we went for the first time to see the city where the Christmas atmosphere breathed on us. In the evening, the city shines beautifully!
The second day we got off in the museum district and we went to see some of the museums and more Viennese sights. Also we found an amazing place called Frohesfest, where you can find some Christmas stalls and an outdoor ice-skating.
My opinion for these 2 days, which I had a chance to spend in Vienna, is that it is very beautiful, clean and safe city. You can find a lot of interesting places and sights there. I like it very much!
